The greater majority of people have not made the connection between the dream world and the Out of Body Experience (OBE). In other words, credence is certainly given to the wonder and excitement of dreams, but the experience is normally written off as something ‘manufactured’ and occurring only in the mind. The possibility of actually experiencing the scenario remains foreign territory and many tend not to believe in such nonsense.
Whether you realize it or not, each night when you sleep, you visit the nonphysical realms of life. You have been engaged in this activity all of your life thus far and you will continue to do so in the future. In fact, you have no say so in the matter because your soul governs the process. The nightly journeys your soul takes you on are continuous and revolve around a central theme. The central theme is to enhance your conscious perception, awareness, beliefs and experience the existence of life above and beyond the material arena of life.
There is another important aspect of the central theme of expanded conscious awareness around which these experiences revolve. The Out of Body Experience (OBE) is one of the key components and a major first step in understanding that we are all spiritual beings. In other words, your
‘spiritual’ality is an expression of your inner spirit, which is governed by your soul. Your spirit and soul are intangible aspects of your being and exist outside of your physical body. Most people want proof that we indeed are spiritual beings and exist above and beyond the limitations of the physical body, but that is not easily done. Understanding this intellectually versus understanding this experientially, however, are quite different.
In light of receiving proof that your spiritual identity continues during other states of conscious awareness, let’s ask ourselves a few questions concerning the mysterious and oftentimes chaotic world of dreams. How real are your dreams to you? What kind of dream experiences have you had? Have you ever reached out and touched someone or something while dreaming? If so, was the person or object you touched of tangible substance. If so, how can you deny that your individual spirit carried you to visit another realm of existence while you slept. Have you ever seen all or part of your body while dreaming? Have you ever encountered a mirror in a dream and if so, what did you look like? The skeptic requiring proof would conclude that the brain produces all of these experiences as part of a vivid imagination. You, as an earnest seeker of spiritual development and truth, while immersed in an ocean of doubt and a lack of understanding, at least initially, will ever so slowly begin to accept that these experiences are real. Besides, you, as an individual, are seeking confirmation of your everlasting spirit and identity and the experiences that you have are meaningless to anyone other than you. In short, you do not have to proof or justify your experiences to anyone other than yourself.
